Clan History: The Chi clan is much less a grouping of people as it is distinguishing those who have the Chi virus, which manifests in the victim's blood.

The Chi users can be of any descent, but whatever causes this disease begins when the user begins chakra-related practice. Whatever they try to do would result in bleeding profusely, sometimes to the point of hospitalization or death. As the user grows to control this, however, their body takes shape of their own personal talent. This can lead to multiple ninja seeming to be normal, while leading others to look like monsters.

By the age of 13, the Virus will have begun to fully show it's effects on the user's body. As the Chi virus is very much alive in the victim throughout their lifetime, its effects begin to change with growth. One may become much stronger, or much frailer. Due to the genetics within the virus, most symptoms once started continued through their cycle.

As the clan began to form into groups of people, it could be noted that there were only a few viruses that anyone deemed useful to their community. As such, the ninja with the appropriate virus fit to run their area of the clan usually did, regardless of location.

Although the Chi virus is scattered, there is a group of ninja whom go under the Chi name. Spread from the earliest vampire, the bloodline is continued. These ninja can be seen as regular ninja, though they live under the family name.
